Color therapy training - Healing with colors

Color healing, light therapy and chromo therapy are all terms used interchangeably with Color Therapy, which is a set of principles used to create harmonious color and color combinations for healing. Color therapy (chromo therapy) help improve and balance emotional state when gaze at selected colors and absorb their energy.

A therapist trained in color therapy uses color to balance energy wherever our bodies are lacking, be it physical, emotional, spiritual, or mental.

The body tells us the truth about how we feel and shows us that there is an imbalance in our physiology. Most of the time, we do not pay attention to our body because the pain of feeling and knowing may be too much. The eidetic-mans carefully and compassionately show us what is needed through images to heal and activate the body and mind toward better health.

Build a collection of colored cards so that at times to time you can select a color, focus on it, and restore yourself to a balanced state. Gaze at the color for as long as you feel you need to. Depending on the severity of the imbalance in your energy, it may take as long as one minutes before a sense of irritation begins to be felt as the saturation point for a color's energy is reached.

Color experience provides the opportunity to discover for yourself, the impact colors can have on well-being. The need for a particular color's energy seems to differ from day to day or even from hour to hour.

When you absorb color energy it goes, via the nervous, to the part of the body that needs it. Each body has its own optimum state of well-being and is constantly seeking ways to maintain or restore a balanced state. Utilizing color is one way you can help yourself to harmony!
Waveforms of light are expressed in light frequencies called nanometers. For example, red is expressed as 660 nanometer. White light is expressed as a compendium of all the visible light frequencies which include red, orange, yellow, green, blue and violet.

RED

Red signifies the choleric temperament. Red is generally taken to be the color of life, of the glowing sun and of fire. Love and joy, rage and anger are the polar values of the color red. Red is said to make the blood boil, to increase the pulse rate, to raise the blood pressure and the rate of breathing. Red is also the color of desire. The sexual urge, the impulses and general vigor of individuals are attributed to the color red. Red generally supports the circulatory functions and is applied with success to combat anemia, asthma, diseases of the larynx, certain skin diseases and chronic coughs.

ORANGE

Orange is the color of cheerfulness and gaiety. Being a color mixed from red and yellow, it stands for kind-heartedness and warm-heartedness of an individual. Orange symbolizes the rising sun, it makes us alert and cheerful. It causes stimulation, warmth and happiness. Orange fills us with joy and cheerfulness. It affects both our bodies and our minds. Astonishing results may be obtained in using the color orange to treat mental illness, depressions, discontent and pessimism. Naturopaths apply orange for the treatment of arteriosclerosis, sclerenecephaly, cardio sclerosis, loss of appetite, anemia, and anorexia.

YELLOW

The color yellow represents the sanguine temperament. Yellow is the symbol of the sun at the zenith. Yellow is the brightest of all colors. In the psychology of colors, yellow stands for detached serenity. Yellow reflects light in all directions, thereby creating an impression of detachment and liberation; it cancels out any feeling of heaviness or oppression. Professor Luscher writes that the color yellow drives us forward towards new, modern frontiers, and that it is therefore future oriented. In naturopathy yellow is applied to combat glandular diseases and diseases of the lymphatic system, and to strengthen the nervous system. Yellow greatly assists metabolism, glandular activity and improves secretion of the stomach.

GREEN

The color green represents the phlegmatic temperament. It has a harmonizing effect. Green does not make us quiet, but calms us in a neutral, positive sense. Green is the color of possession and of the will to possess. Luscher says: "Green is the color of possession and should increase the feelings of security and in particular of self-confidence." Green is also considered to be the color of concentration. It stands for exact examination, precise analysis, systematic logic and for recording and remembering. Among other things, the color green is applied for the naturopathic treatment of bronchitis, whooping cough, inflammations of the joints, and swellings. In addition, green has a positive influence on the treatments of cysts, eye diseases and diabetes, generally promoting the secretion processes. Green promotes relaxation of the organs and stimulates general detoxification of the body.

BLUE

Blue is the color of peace and infinity. It represents the melancholic temperament. Blue profoundly calms and relaxes us. Our bodies and minds are conveyed to a state of peace, repose and softness. The relaxing and tranquilizing property of blue is applied for relieving headaches and migraines, the pains of stomach and muscle cramps. As a general rule, the color blue can be said to have a very positive effect on all kinds of pain conditions.

VIOLET

Violet is the combination of the choleric-impulsive and the melancholic-tender nature. Violet is the color of the emotions and is considered to be a meditative color. Violet can lead to profound liberation of the mind. Intuition and imagination are enhanced. Violet is the color regulator at the interface between the mind and the body. In color therapy in particular in color acupuncture, violet is applied for treating the lymphatic system and the spleen.
The six basic colors are divided into three hot and three cool, hot being the colors which arouse and give stimulation and cool being the colors which cool down and sedate. The colors Red, Orange & Yellow are warming. The colors Green, Blue & Violet are cooling. Color Therapy uses these complimentary properties of the colors to balance the body and help it to heal. By testing complimentary pairs in your body system, the more sensitive area is found and then given the cool color to sedate, the others are given the warm color to ton.

You could cut out cards of these colors, make your own games or simply stare at them meditatively for the desired effect. You could also color the plain white cards with the desired color for a particular healing effectTo know more visit :

Mind Power- Inner Psychology to Success

The term mind power and the subconscious mind power are described in many different ways. In the psychosomatic sense mind power is labeled as ability to have emotions, imagination, memory, and will; and subconscious mind power is labeled as part of the normal individual’s personality in which mental processes function without consciousness under normal waking conditions.

Mind power is our conscious mind, the way we think. The mind is similar to a constantly flowing spring however a natural spring cannot send forth fresh water and bitter from the same opening, nor yield both salt water and fresh. So it is with the mind and its thoughts; it cannot equally think negative and positive thoughts at the same time. One will rule the other.

Since the mind reflects habitual thoughts, it is therefore our responsibility to influence our mind and brain with positive emotions, thoughts and energy as the dominating factors in our mind. Mind power is beyond positive thinking or brain power, it is thinking than believing what you think that will manifest your reality. Since this mind power is power of thought and beliefs, and these thoughts and beliefs will create the outcome of your now, you will want to stay aware to the reflections you are thinking.

Now mind power is a dual system that includes your power of thought(brain) and your subconscious mind. We all have subconscious mind power; it can be as small as smiling at your boss in the hopes of improving the odds of acquiring a raise!

Or it can be the way you unconsciously handle a situation whether appropriately or not. Power of the subconscious mind comes from the thoughts and beliefs of your the power of the your mind. However you think and believe is what your subconscious mind power will produce. This is done continuously, one minute at a time. Every thought nourished regularly by your mind power will activate your subconscious mind to generate those thoughts and energy whether good or bad into your life. This is how you’re present and future is created.

Theta Healing

Theta Healing was developed by Vianna Stibal, who facilitated her own recovery from Cancer in 1995. Let me just give you a description of Theta healing and how it helps!

ThetaHealing™ is a technique that teaches how to put to use our natural intuition, relying upon unconditional love of Creator Of All That Is to do the actual “work”. We believe by changing your brain wave cycle to include the “Theta” state, you can actually watch the Creator Of All That Is create instantaneous physical and emotional healing.

Upon learning the technique of ThetaHealing, you will see that everyone has intuitive abilities that can be used to bring about spontaneous physical and emotional healing. Using this personal process, you will help yourself, as well as your friends and family.

Theta Healing is best known for the Belief and Feeling Work on all four levels :

  • Core
  • Gene
  • History
  • Soul

With growing scientific evidence that toxic emotion can contribute to disease and the awareness that emotions, feelings and the power of thought have a direct bearing upon our physical health, there is increasing interest in changing how the mind influences the body to create optimum health.

Belief and Feeling Work empower people with the ability to remove and replace negative emotions, feelings and thoughts with positive, beneficial ones. Theta Healing can be most easily described as an attainable miracle for your life!!

In order to understand Theta healing better we must understand the 7 planes of existence:

The Seven Planes (or Realms) of Existence are the totality of All-That-IS in Its limitless expression of Creation. It is important to understand these Planes in order to clarify why and where our beliefs, programs, contracts, commitments, initiations and healings originate. We operate physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually as part of and connected to all the Planes. Every Plane is working in our body in complete harmony to create life at all times. Every Plane operates within this Third Plane, where we, as humans, reside.

Since we utilize and work with these Planes both consciously and unconsciously, it is essential that we learn to respect the awareness that these Planes bring forth. Every plane brings forth their ability to heal. Every healing modality and healing practitioner taps into the Planes. But not all are aware of the most direct connection first--the 7th Plane-- the energy of All-That-IS. Our personal programming, along with the planetary and spiritual programs, are embedded in the collective group consciousness. This consciuosness is often run by fear, so more-often than not, we feel separate from this always existing energy. In truth, we are always connected no matter what we do, think or feel. We have just forgotten our connection. ThetaHealing™ brings us the opportunity to reawaken and remember this connection and to use it to help mankind evolve in the highest and best way.

Though I havent given a very clear description of Theta Healing as yet, I hope this helps. This might help if not to save atleast to spiritual ease the suffering of those with Cancer and other related diseases.

Pranic healing - healing with your life energy

Before we begin I would request you to put aside all inhibitions that may have risen in you through the gaining of scientific knowledge. It is not necessary to put aside science itself because it is impossible now. When one moves towards God, all faith, science, culture and tradition coalesce into one single drop. Though this might sound a little weird for some, let us keep an open mind and move ahead!

Pranic healing is an ancient science and art of healing that utilizes prana or ki or life energy to heal the whole physical body. It also involves the manipulation of ki and bioplasmic matter of the patient`s body. It has also been called medical qigong (ki kung or ki healing), psychic healing, vitalic healing, therapeutic touch, laying of the hand, magnetic healing, faith healing, and charismatic healing.

It must be noted that 'faith' here refers to one's faith in the treatment methodology, principles and actions. One must believe that one would truly benefit from Pranic healing. Then only, must one go in for this kind of treatment.

Pranic healing is based on two laws: The law of self-recovery and the law of prana or life energy.

These laws are quite obvious but strangely they are usually the least noticed or least remembered by most people. It is through these basic laws that rapid or miraculous healing occurs.

1. Law of Self-Recovery

In general, the body is capable of healing itself at a certain rate. If a person has a wound or burn, the body will heal itself and recover within a few days to a week. In other words, even if you do not apply antibiotic on the wound or burn, the body will repair or heal itself. At the present moment, there is no medicine available for the treatment of viral infection. But even if a person has cough or cold due to viral infection, the body will recover generally in one or two weeks without medication.

2. Law of Life Energy

For life to exist, the body must have prana, chi or life energy. The healing process can be accelerated by increasing life energy on the affected part(s) and on the entire body.

In chemistry, electrical energy is sometimes used as a catalyst to increase the rate of chemical reaction. Light can affect chemical reaction. This is the basis for photography. In electrolysis, electricity is used to catalyze or produce chemical reaction. In pranic healing, prana or life energy serves as the catalyst to accelerate the rate of biochemical reactions involved in the natural healing process of the body. When pranic energy is applied to the affected part of the body, the rate of recovery or healing increases tremendously. What we call miraculous healing is nothing more than increasing the rate of self-recovery of the body. There is nothing supernatural or paranormal about pranic healing. It is simply based on natural laws that most people are not aware of.

Prana Or Ki
Prana or ki is that life energy which keeps the body alive and healthy.
Basically, there are three major sources of prana: solar prana, air prana and ground prana.

Solar prana is prana from sunlight. It invigorates the whole body and promotes good health. It can be obtained by sunbathing or exposure to sunlight for about five to ten minutes and by drinking water that has been exposed to sunlight. Prolonged exposure or too much solar prana would harm the whole physical body since it is quite potent.

Prana contained in the air is called air prana or air vitality globule. Air prana is absorbed by the lungs through breathing and is also absorbed directly by the energy centers of the bioplasmic body. These energy centers are called chakras. More air prana can be absorbed by deep slow rhythmic breathing than by short shallow breathing. It can also be absorbed through the pores of the skin by persons who have undergone certain training.

Prana contained in the ground is called ground prana or ground vitality globule. This is absorbed through the soles of the feet. This is done automatically and unconsciously. Walking barefoot increases the amount of ground prana absorbed by the body. One can learn to consciously draw in more ground prana to increase one`s vitality, capacity to do more work, and ability to think more clearly.

Water absorbs prana from sunlight, air, and ground that it comes in contact with. Plants and trees absorb prana from sunlight, air, water, and ground. Men and animals obtain prana from sunlight, air, ground, water, and food. Fresh food contains more prana than preserved food.

Prana can also be projected to another person for healing. Persons with a lot of excess prana tend to make other people around them feel better and livelier. However, those who are depleted tend to unconsciously absorb prana from other people. You may have encountered persons who tend to make you feel tired or drained for no apparent reason at all.Certain trees, such alpine trees or old and gigantic healthy trees, exude a lot of excess prana. Tired or sick people benefit much by lying down or resting underneath these trees. Better results can be obtained by verbally requesting the being of the tree to help the sick person get well.

Anyone can also learn to consciously absorb prana from these trees through the palms, such that the body would tingle and become numb because of the tremendous amount of prana absorbed. This skill can be acquired after only a few sessions of practice.Certain areas or places tend to have more prana than others. Some of these highly energized areas tend to become healing centers.

Neoplatonism - The right knowledge

There are two ways of looking at the world, that we believe in. One is the fundamentally religious point of view and the other is the scientific point of view. These are polarised as the Fundamenta Right and the Secular Left.
This divide was created by Descartes in the 17th Century, where matter, the province of science and spirit, the province of religion are seperate. Cut off from each other religion and science have become dogmatic caricatures and only fragments of their former selves.
There is a need to revive mystical vision which is now happening on the fringes of our society.
Neoplatonism is part of this revival though it seldom takes this name today. So ever happen to discuss soul centres or the tree of life, and you are actually witnessing a return to a philosophy that has been outlawed by both the former dogmas of fundamental science and fundamental religion.
These include the views of such philosophers as Pluto and Plotinus as well as other hermetic philosophers, occult art etc.
Good diffuses itself in all directions like the sun radiates light, the snow cold and the flower fragrance. In this manner there is a ceaseless emanation from 'the One', or 'Monad' or 'God'.
The emanation from the one cannot terminate until all creation that stems from it ceases to exist.
Good God will always be there for everyone, though worshipped in different names and forms, God is one. This revelation is an important understanding for all humakind today and must be observed to ensure the harmony and peace that religion was meant to bring about or accomplish.
The right knowledge is also a form of spiritual healing.

Shiatsu - Japanese Finger Massage

I know the name sounds like something very exciting to try and it really feels so too! I have explained all about in this article. Please visit a trained masseur to ensure that you stay healthy and observe the precautions mentioned in the article. Shiatsu is a healthy massage therapy and you should try it too!

So what is shiatsu?

Shiatsu is a Japanese form of bodywork. The word shiatsu means "finger pressure", and shiatsu is sometimes described as a finger pressure massage.

How does shiatsu work?

Like acupuncture, shiatsu is based on the holistic system of traditional Chinese medicine, where illness is thought to result from imbalances in the natural flow of energy, or qi (pronounced "chee") through the body. Shiatsu therapists use finger and palm pressure to energetic pathways, called meridians to improve the flow of qi. A scientific explanation is that shiatsu calms an overactive sympathetic nervous system, which improves circulation, relieves stiff muscles, and alleviates stresss.

What does shiatsu feel like?

The shiatsu therapist applies pressure using his or her fingers, thumbs, and/or palms in a continuous rhythmic sequence. The pressure feels more localized, because unlike other types of massage, the finger pads are used to apply pressure for most of the treatment instead of the entire palm.Certain pressure points may feel tender, which some people describe it as "good pain." If you feel any discomfort or pain during the treatment, tell your therapist and he or she will adjust the pressure so that it is comfortable to you.

What should I expect during my visit?

The treatment is done on a low massage table or on the floor.Unlike other forms of massage, with shiatsu no massage oil is applied, so you remain fully clothed during the treatment. You may be asked to bring comfortable clothing to wear.

So how good is it and what is it used for?

  • Relaxation

  • Back pain

  • Headache

  • Premenstrual syndrome

  • Anxiety

  • Insomnia

  • Neck and shoulder pain

  • Tiredness

  • Recovery from injuries

  • Stress

  • Arthritis pain

  • Poor digestion

  • Constipation

  • Depression

Precautions

Shiatsu is not recommended for certain people Please read the following carefully:

  • infectious skin disease, rash, or open wounds
  • immediately after surgery
  • immediately after chemotherapy or radiation, unless recommended by your doctor
people with osteoporosis should consult their doctor before having shiatsu
  • If you have heart disease, check with your doctor before having shiatsu
  • Pregnant women should check with their doctor first if they are considering getting any type of massage or bodywork. Shiatsu in pregnant women should be done by massage therapists who are certified in pregnancy massage.
  • Shiatsu should not be done directly over bruises, inflamed skin, unhealed wounds, tumors, abdominal hernia, or areas of recent fractures. To ensure this please visit a trained Shiatsu masseur.

Precious Gems for healing

Today many people turn to alternative medicine to heal their pressing ailments. One alternative view is that precious gems are good for spiritual healing. The Celtic, Egyptian, Indian and Chinese cultures all believed that gems had power over body and mind.

These ancient beliefs are now used in modern crystal therapy and have been seen to work wonders for the body. Precious gems are also used for psychological challenges to get good results.

The different gems carry different cures for the mind. For example, the lovely red rubies are believed to heal anxiety and fear, and green emeralds have been known to heal fatigue and revitalize a person’s energy.

While blue sapphires and white opals can heal insecurity,
opals can also calm any nervousness and sapphire has been shown to cure insomnia.

There are a variety of gems and precious stones out there and they all have certain healing powers. Find which one can heal you best and see if different combinations work well with you and give the results that you are looking for.

Even though precious gems are great to look at, if you are using them for their healing and restorative powers, it is important that not only you would wear them, but they must make contact with your skin. It has been known that gems emit rays and these vibrations can affect a person.

Full contact with skin can cause greater healing strength and can be felt throughout the body. It is also thought that the higher quality stone, clarity and cut can count towards how powerful the healing is.

You should note that doing more research on the healing power of gems and semi-precious stones will show you that other stones have different effects on the mind.

Turquoise and amethyst, jade and quartz, and many more, all have different powers that heal the body and mind. They can also be used as protection from negative energies that are out there.

The curative powers can be seen as miraculous, however, many old cultures have known for a long time about their powers, so not only were they valued because of their beauty, but gems and semi-precious stones also contained the power to heal.

These mind healing treatments are seen in combination with color and crystal therapy. Be sure to find what different emissions different gems can give off and see how they can influence your own mind and body. The praises for gems have been sung for a long time and it is true. Gemstones can make you look great and feel great too.

The healing powers of gems have been known since ancient times and have finally found a rightful place in alternative medicine once again.

Naturopathy - The cure is within you!

Naturopathy

Ever walked down to an antibiotic store and wondered why you have had that cold for a very long time and your body's done nothing about it? So can your body do something about it? The answer is Yes. The word 'Naturopathy' comes from Greek and Latin and literally translates as "nature disease."
Naturopathy deals with the healing power of nature since it believes that all healing powers are within your body. This means that within every human organism there is a healing energy, which includes our immune system in the fuller sense of both the physical and the psyche, which is responsible for our wellness and our ability to heal and maintain health. Since we fall ill only when we go against Nature, the cause of diseases (toxins) is expelled from the body to cure it.
  1. Fasting has been described as Nature's way to recover. A thorough rest, which includes fasting, is the most favorable condition in which an ailing body can purify and recoup itself.

  2. Following this first premise is the second, that the therapies used to support and stimulate this healing power of nature must be in "the gentlest, least invasive, most efficient manner possible".
  3. The third Naturopathic premise is "to diagnose and treat the cause".

Naturopaths do not simply treat the manifestation of the disease but rather search for the cause and treat it. To accomplish these goals, Naturopathic medicine incorporates many therapeutic modalities: herbal medicine, homeopathy, nutrition, hydrotherapy, food, exercise therapy, physical therapy, manipulation of the bony and soft tissues, lifestyle and counseling.

Naturopathic medicine treats the patient from the preventive stage through to serious, chronic and debilitating disease. Therefore, people can go to Naturopaths for colds, bronchitis, allergies, as well as for heart disease, diabetes, and malignant diseases.
Naturopathy is practiced in many countries, especially the United States and Canada, and is subject to different standards of regulation and levels of acceptance. The level of medical education among naturopaths also varies, though no naturopathic training program reaches the same level of training as an MD or DO. In the United States and Canada, the designation of Naturopathic Doctor (ND) may be awarded after completion of a four year program of study at an accredited Naturopathic medical school that includes the study of basic medical sciences as well as natural remedies and medical care.
Naturopathy is fast gaining popularity around the world for its safe and effective healing. In Indian homes, home remedies come before the trip to the doctor. All ailments are believed to be caused by what you eat and what you don't eat. Hence, a traditional Indian doctor will first make slight adjustments to your diet before he prescribes a medicine, which is the last resort.

Music therapy - Good music really helps!!

Music Therapy

Listening to music does wonders to alleviate stress. Please note that everyone has different tastes in music. Listen to the music that you feel comfortable. Sitting down and forcing yourself to listen to relaxation music that you don't like may create stress, not alleviate it.
Music has always been a great healer. In the Bible, we learn about how David played the harp to help ease the severe depression of King Saul .
Music is a significant mood-changer and reliever of stress, working on many levels at once.

Many experts suggest that it is the rhythm of the music or the beat that has the calming effect on us although we may not be very conscious about it. They point out that when we were a baby in our mother's womb, we probably were influenced by the heart beat of our mother. We respond to the soothing music at later stages in life, perhaps associating it with the safe, relaxing, protective environment provided by our mother.

Music can be one of the most soothing or nerve wracking experiences available. Choosing what will work for any individual is difficult, most will choose something they 'like' instead of what might be beneficial. In doing extensive research on what any given piece of music produces in the physiological response system many unexpected things were found.

Many of the so-called Meditation and Relaxation recordings actually produced adverse EEG patterns, just as bad as Hard Rock and Heavy Metal. The surprising thing was many selections of Celtic, Native American as well as various music containing loud drums or flute were extremely soothing. The most profound finding was Any music Performed Live and even at moderately loud volumes even if it was somewhat discordant had very a beneficial response.

Whenever the proper sounds were experienced an amazing right/left brain hemisphere synchronization occurred. The normal voltage spiking pattern changed to a smooth sinusoidal waveform and the usual voltage differential equalized. The entire human energetic system is extremely influenced by sounds, the physical body and chakra centers respond specifically to certain tones and frequencies. Special consideration should be given to the positive effects of one actually playing or creating music themselves.

Maximizing With Music Therapy

As we mentioned before, there is not a single music that is good for everyone. People have different tastes. It is important that you like the music being played.
The following are general guidelines to maximize the effectiveness of the music.
  • To wash away stress, try taking a 20-minute "sound bath." Put some relaxing music on your stereo, then lie in a comfortable position on a couch or on the floor near the speakers. For a deeper experience, you can wear headphones to focus your attention and to avoid distraction.

  • Choose music with a slow rhythm - slower than the natural heart beat which is about 72 beats per minute. Music that has repeating or cyclical pattern is found to be effective in most people.

  • As the music plays, allow it to wash over you, rinsing off the stress from the day. Focus on your breathing, letting it deepen, slow and become regular. Concentrate on the silence between the notes in the music; this keeps you from analyzing the music and makes relaxation more complete.

  • If you need a stimulation after a day of work, go for a faster music rather than slow calming music.

  • When going gets tough, go for a music you are familiar with - such as a childhood favorite or favorite oldies. Familiarity often breeds calmness.

  • Take walks with your favorite music playing on the walkman. Inhale and exhale in tune with the music. Let the music takes you. This is a great stress reliever by combining exercise (brisk walk), imagery and music.

  • Listening to the sounds of nature, such as ocean waves or the calm of a deep forest, can reduce stress. Try taking a 15- to 20-minute walk if you're near the seashore or a quiet patch of woods. If not, you can buy tapes of these sounds in many music stores.

Kundalini Yoga

"The truth that sets 'you' free is within 'you', only 'you' can set yourself free"

Yoga is a traditional physical and mental discipline for mental and physical wellbeing. Both the Buddha( founder of Buddhism ) as well as Mahavira ( founder of Jainism ) achieved enlightenment through Yoga. Buddha chose to remain silent about God whereas Mahavira denied the existence of God. Of course when we deny the existence of God, it is only the rituals and ceremonies that are implied. For those of you who do not believe in God, Yoga will still prove to be a good form of mental and physical rejuvenation. I have provided an explanation of the Kundalini Yoga and I have marked out its benefits.
Kundalini yoga is a physical and meditative discipline within the tradition of Yoga. The exercises are also sometimes referred to as Kriya Yoga or simply Kriya. According to Hindu tradition Kundalini yoga is a pure spiritual science that leads to enlightenment and God-Realization under the guidance of a Spiritual Master. The awakening of kundalini means awakening of inner knowledge By sincere practice of meditation, the senses come under the control of our mind and we do our actions with constant awareness of the cause and effect system. Kundalini is the life-force; the energy of the body and mind. Simplified Kundalini Yoga is the practice to utilize the life-force for the object of meditation; merging the mind with the life-force takes one to the subtlest frequency, which enhances awareness and furthers intellectual sharpness and understanding.
Simplified Kundalini Yoga (SKY) meditation practiceIn SKY practice various stages of meditation are given to an individual .

Simplified Kundalini Yoga (SKY)

1) A trained master initiates the student into meditation practice, intensifying the working center of his life-force at Agna Chakra (between the eyebrows) so as to focus there and meditate.

2)After a few days of the initial practice, energy increase in the upper centers may be felt excessively. At this point the student is taught Shanti Yoga.

3)The next stage of practice is Thuriya Yoga, which is meditation at the crown chakra, i.e. Sahasradara or Brahmarandra.

Higher Techniques in Kundalini Yoga

1) Higher level techniques of meditation include Thuriateeth Yoga where the fractional state of consciousness unites with the infinite state of consciousness. By sincere practice the student can advance from the limited body consciousness to soul consciousness and ultimately to God consciousness.

2) A separate technique of meditation is also taught to strengthen the mind and body in resistance to the adverse effects of planetary transits.

3)Practices are also given to understand and increase one’s personal biomagnetism for physical and mental optimum strength. One is also taught to use biomagnetism for helping others by passing energy in certain cases.

What are the benefits of Kundalini Yoga ?

1) Reduces the mental frequency (stress signals).
2)Enhances awareness.
3)Improves intellectual sharpness and understanding.
4)Increases the will power and concentration.

"The truth that sets you free is within you, only you can set yourself free"

Kundalini Meditation- The sister method to active meditation

I have written another article on what Kundalini Yoga is to understand this meditation form better.

This meditation lasts for one hour and has four stages, three with music, and the last without.Kundalini acts like an energetic shower, softly shaking you free of your day and leaving you refreshed and mellow.

Stage 1 - 15 minutes

Be loose and let your whole body shake, feeling the energies moving up from your feet. Let go everywhere and become the shaking. Your eyes may be open or closed.“Allow the shaking; don’t do it. Stand silently, feel it coming and when your body starts trembling, help it but don’t do it. Enjoy it, feel blissful about it, allow it, receive it, welcome it, but don’t will it.“If you force it will become an exercise, a bodily, physical exercise. Then the shaking will be there but just on the surface; it will not penetrate you. You will remain solid, stone-like, rock-like within. You will remain the manipulator, the doer, and the body will just be following. The body is not the question – you are the question.“When I say shake, I mean your solidity, your rock-like being should shake to the very foundations so that it becomes liquid, fluid, melts, flows. And when the rock-like being becomes liquid, your body will follow. Then there is no shake, only shaking. Then nobody is doing it; it is simply happening. Then the doer is not.” Osho

Second Stage - 15 minutes

Dance, any way you feel, letting the whole body move as it wishes. Again, your eyes can be open or closed

Third Stage - 15 minutes

Close your eyes and be still, sitting or standing, observing, witnessing, whatever is happening inside and out.

Fourth Stage - 15 minutes

Keeping your eyes closed, lie down and be still.

Stages of Mediatation - Dynamic

I quote the techniques involved in meditation from Osho's website. You may visit the website on www.osho.com. These are simple outlines that give you some idea of what happens at an Osho Commune. You may read through here and visit the website for more details.

Stage 1 - Gibberish
While sitting, close your eyes and begin to say nonsense sounds – any sounds or words, so long as they make no sense. Just speak any language that you don't know! Allow yourself to express whatever needs to be expressed within you. Throw everything out. The mind thinks, always, in terms of words. Gibberish helps to break up this pattern of continual verbalization. Without suppressing your thoughts, you can throw them out. Let your body likewise be expressive.

Stage 2 - Moving in

After some minutes of Gibberish, there is a drumbeat, at which point the Gibberish stops. Osho’s voice then guides the listener into a space of deep silence, stillness and relaxation, saying, for example, “Be silent, close your eyes...no movement of the body – feel frozen. Go inwards, deeper and deeper, just like an arrow. Penetrate all the layers and hit the center of your existence.”

Stage 3 - Letting go

Another drumbeat and, without arranging yourself, just allow yourself to fall down "like a bag of rice," so you are lying, utterly still and relaxed, on your back as you are guided even more deeply into a silent stillness.

Fouth stage - Return

At the final drumbeat, Osho’s voice guides you back to a sitting position, with the reminder to carry the glimpse of silent awareness one may have had into everyday activities.

Osho Philosophy and Meditation

The words 'So Ham' are uttered in meditation, to imply that God is within you. Meditation is the best way to reach God. Merely chanting any name of God is a great way to reach this God. This may be Jesus, Allah , Ram, Buddha or Mahavira, or any source that worked for human good. Osho is a philosopher who has had a remarkable influence on so many lives. Understanding the philosophy of Osho helps us better understand the nature of God and the cosmos. One need not renounce one's faith for the same, because one cannot. All paths and entities are created and controlled by God, but it is in understanding that God is within us, that sets us totally free.

Osho represents the omega point of the entire spiritual history of mankind. He is the first enlightened master who had the environment and ability to assimilate the million facets of our spiritual heritage into a laser beam-like precision, without losing the flavors, the richness, and the diversity. In a world that had become a global village, Osho had the ability to soak himself in all the religious, social, cultural and intellectual traditions of mankind. And he had the inner depth, breadth, expanse and insight to transmute them into a vision both uniquely his own and man's heritage since eternal time.

Osho revealed a great secret to us—do not fight with darkness. It is nonexistent and therefore impervious to struggle. He used to say that when we want light in a room, we do not push the darkness out; we merely light a candle. And the darkness of a million years has no resistance; in just a moment a small candle dispels it. Osho likens all our negative qualities to darkness, and calls all ethics and morality an effort to fight with darkness and therefore doomed to fail. The nature of all ignorance and all unconsciousness is the nature of darkness. The only way to dispel it is by bringing light in—the light of love, the light of meditation.

He repeatedly said that one should renounce the mind, not the world; that those who renounce the world are nothing but escapists. A monk renounces the world, the crowd for 30 years, but he still remains a Hindu, a Christian, a Buddhist. And to be a Hindu, a Christian, a Buddhist is to be part of a crowd. The individual can be a Christ, but not a Christian.

One of the most significant aspects of Osho's vision was his notion of the New Man, who would be integrated and total. Such a man would be beyond belonging to a religion, a nation, and a caste, even the gender that the phrase implies. The New Man would also be free of the schism between the inner and the outer. He would, in Osho's words, be Zorba the Buddha. Combining the deep meditative vote of the Buddha with the passion and intensity of Zorba the Greek, he would be a true individual, free of social programming—centered and equanimous, yet full of zest and love of life, with great inner and outer richness.

Osho felt that, in the days of old, sitting meditations were beneficial to large numbers of people, because life was less stressful, living simpler. In modern conditions, the mind and body rebel against it. And any force is unnatural and harmful. It leads to what Osho called a state of inner civil war, which dissipates energy and is very destructive.

Osho's dynamic meditations begin with activity like jumping or dancing. After some time, when the body is naturally tired and the mind calmed by physical activity, the mediator sits, or lies down, to meditate—in consonance with nature, not struggling against it.Osho brought laughter back to religion. He used to be very fond of saying that guilt is a state of sickness, that seriousness is pathological. Far from the somnolent and lethargic atmosphere one still associates with religion, his commune and his discourses were distinguished with laughter, ebullience and vivacity. Words like joy, celebration, fun and festivity are key words—not in terms of significance, but in their actualization in the here-now he inhabited.

Osho's discourses, meditations, and the energy he shared with his sannyasins and lovers did more than give a delightful freshness, an enticing now-ness to the quest for self-awareness. His words and his life exemplified another unique ability: the ability to simplify, deconstruct and explain some of the most nagging mundane problems that beset humanity. He was also without doubt a psychotherapist par excellence, and took psychotherapy beyond its own frontiers—helping a person adapt to a neurotic society—into the vistas of meditation, freedom from all conditioning, and enlightenment.

Meditation helps the seeker in her own development. But the atmosphere, the energy of meditation permeates the space and contributes in a large measure to the Buddhafield, which nourishes the entire community.

Some centuries from now, when a more placid humanity views Osho in tranquility, they will see him as he is, always was and will be: a world in a grain of sand. For a grain of sand hides the subatomic dance. And it is a grain of sand that makes our spectacular universe a living reality.

"There is only one God and many ways to reach him. Meditation is one such way"
